A vacancy exists in the finance department for an Accounts Payable Officer (part-time), working 3 days each week and based in Eveleigh for a period of 12 months (maternity leave contract). The Accounts Payable Officer (part-time) is responsible for assisting in the operations of the accounts payable function for the company.

Key responsibilities include:

• Match invoices through approved purchase orders
• Process payment runs; including EFT, Foreign Currency and cheque payments
• Follow up on AP rejections in the system and assist when required
• Support the Purchasing function: assist with refresher training and provide advice to Purchasing users on outstanding Purchase Orders. Investigate and resolve anomalies, including follow up of undelivered and/or outstanding/unmatched PO’s,
• Manage Cabcharge dockets and reconciliations
• Answer internal and external accounts payable enquiries
• Collect and distribute mail for the accounts payable team
• Preparation of accounts payable, purchasing, and other ad hoc reports as required

The successful applicant will possess exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; have excellent communication skills, as well as strong Excel skills.

Working days will be Monday, Thursday, Friday; hours are flexible.
