We’re seeking a self-motivated Tax Accountant to join the team based at our head office in Macquarie Park. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager and Tax Supervisor, your main objective will be to assist in the process of tax reporting and compliance for both ORIX Australia Corporation Limited and ORIX New Zealand Limited.
The Tax Account will support the business and operations in month end processing of tax journals and reconciliations, regulatory assistance, statutory reporting, corporate and indirect tax reporting. Other key components of the role will include supporting with transfer pricing, budgeting, forecasting and other adhoc reporting.
This role will suit a first-mover Public Tax Accountant who is looking to move into the corporate environment and learn the ropes of being a well-rounded in-house tax professional in a diverse corporate environment.
About You
- Completion or studying towards CA/ CPA qualification or relevant tax qualifications
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of corporate income tax and tax-effect accounting principles
- Strong understanding of Fringe Benefits Tax and Payroll Tax
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Strong planning and organisational skills – ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines; prioritise and organise workloads
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (word, Excel and PowerPoint); Intermediate knowledge of Adobe and InDesign
