Based at our head office in Port Melbourne, a fantastic opportunity exists for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our team.
This position will appeal to an enthusiastic, self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role requires you work within a team to learn and assist in the general finance function with a focus on the accounts payable process for multiple divisions within Australia and overseas.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Coding and entering supplier invoices
- Review all supplier invoices and ensure that they have been approved for payment
- Liase with relevant managers and suppliers
- Process and organise payment for overseas payments in foreign currency
- Ad hoc duties as requested by the finance team
- Proactively contribute to the growth and overall performance of the Wellcom business
- Support management team as required
- Filing
- Occasional reception relief
Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, however not essential, as to be successful in this role you will be adaptable with a willingness to learn. You must have excellent communication / telephone skills, be exceptionally organised and have a positive approach whilst enjoying being part of a real team.
