Accounts Officer - Full Time
Our Company is a large expanding pharmacy group who is dedicated to delivering excellence in customer service and improving the health and wellbeing of our customers.
We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and reliable Accounts Officer to work alongside our in house Accounts Team on a Full Time Basis at our Head Office in Chullora.
You will be an integral part of the accounting team and work closely with the business.
Hours: 38 hours per week Monday to Friday
Working in a busy corporate environment, we are looking for a professional candidate who can reflect our company's "can do" attitude with customer service at the forefront.
Role Purpose
The Accounts Officer supports the achievement of the groups Vision and the Business Unit Purpose by supporting the general accounting functions – primarily across the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions & Data Entry.
Your key roles and responsibilities included:
- Timely reconciliation and payment of suppliers; Liaise with suppliers, contractors and internal staff to ensure supplier invoices are processed and paid on time
- Attend to calls from suppliers in relation to outstanding problems/payments and resolve appropriately
- Ensure key suppliers are reconciled monthly, identify discrepancies and action by escalating to relevant stakeholders
- Follow up outstanding invoices with stores and request corrective action
- Ensure payments to suppliers are made according to the suppliers' payment terms.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required within the accounts department.
The Ideal Candidate will have the following:
- Minimum 1 years' experience working as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable clerk
- MYOB (preferred) and Excel proficient
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and with high volume work loads.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow through on promises
- Passion for customer service and going the extra mile
- Ability to manage repetitive, high volume work
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize whilst ensuring all deadlines are met
- Can-do attitude and Willingness to learn
Education / Qualification
- Higher School Certificate
- Qualifications in Accounting & Finance
