AKA Industries has been operating for over 35 years and we are looking for a highly motivated Bookkeeper/Office Manager who is ready to join our growing team ASAP!
Role and Responsibilities:
Principal Duties:
- Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Bookkeeping/Payroll
- Provide general administrative and clerical support including answering calls, mailing, scanning, faxing and copying to management
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
- Maintain office supplies
- Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence and perform any required banking duties
- Ensure office equipment such as copiers are operating and being maintained
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for Managers
- Provide admin support to managers and other staff members when required
- All other general admin jobs as they arise
Necessary skills
- Experience in a similar role
- Clear communicator in both verbal and written forms
- Work independently and be self-motivated so if something can be done better, you initiate it
- Be very organised, positive and happy to learn new skills from others
- Be flexible - by helping other employees when they require it
- Have good computer skills such as MS Office. Strong excel experience is a must
- Have sound bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable experience
- Experience in Xero will be highly regarded
