AKA Industries has been operating for over 35 years and we are looking for a highly motivated Bookkeeper/Office Manager who is ready to join our growing team ASAP!

Role and Responsibilities:

Principal Duties:

  • Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Bookkeeping/Payroll
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including answering calls, mailing, scanning, faxing and copying to management
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • Maintain office supplies
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence and perform any required banking duties
  • Ensure office equipment such as copiers are operating and being maintained
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for Managers
  • Provide admin support to managers and other staff members when required
  • All other general admin jobs as they arise

Necessary skills

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Clear communicator in both verbal and written forms
  • Work independently and be self-motivated so if something can be done better, you initiate it
  • Be very organised, positive and happy to learn new skills from others
  • Be flexible - by helping other employees when they require it
  • Have good computer skills such as MS Office. Strong excel experience is a must
  • Have sound bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable experience
  • Experience in Xero will be highly regarded
