About the Role
Based in Sydney (Pyrmont), we are seeking a Corporate Accountant to join Macquarie Media Operations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will be required to complete a mix of financial accounting and management reporting duties.
In this role you will perform a range of finance functions to support the Macquarie Media finance team including but not limited to:
- preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting including planning, budgeting and forecasting;
- assistance with taxation matters and preparation of tax returns, BAS, and FBT;
- assistance with the preparation of ASX annual and half-yearly reporting.
- continual work with the finance team to improve systems and processes and undertake ad-hoc project work;
- day to day finance contact and resolution of finance queries; and
- key day-to-day contact during the annual and half year audit process.

- self-motivated individual with a high level of drive and initiative who is not afraid of ‘hands-on’ work;
- excellent communication and proven ability to liaise with stakeholders both internally and externally;
- commercially astute;
- detail oriented, conscientious and systematic with a high level of accuracy;
- team worker with interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
- statutory reporting experience;
- tax knowledge;
- budget and forecasting experience;
- proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly in the use of Excel (ideally pivot tables, v-lookup), Word, PowerPoint,
- knowledge of IFRS;
- CA/ CPA qualified (preferred, however not essential);
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience (preferred, however not essential).
