Purpose of the role

The Client Rates team plays a critical role in supporting the firm to offer industry leading rates arrangements and initiatives to our clients, whilst  managing client cost agreements and the implications of those arrangements within the standardised framework of Elite 3e.

Job Description

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with management of standard rate arrangement options available in Elite 3e, and proactively setting up new arrangements as required to meet new business requirements;
  • Assisting with setup of complex rate arrangements in Elite 3e to deliver correct WIP valuations, invoices and reports;
  • Assisting with management of personnel rate reviews with knowledge of the broader impacts;
  • Managing cost rates for timekeepers and expenses; with knowledge  of the broader impacts;
  • Assisting the Finance Support team with front office support and training on rates arrangements as required;
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of Elite 3e system capabilities in managing all types of rates arrangements for time, disbursements and charges
  • Facilitating management and review of client cost agreements;
  • Reporting and managing exceptions to Firm rates arrangements and policies;
  • Contributing to project-related activities as directed by the Client Rates Analyst.

More about you

  • experience using and supporting a Practice Management / Finance System, preferably Elite 3e;
  • experience in a Rates (or similar) function, including managing cost agreements and rate arrangements;
  • law firm or professional services experience;
  • strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • strong prioritisation and time management skills;
  • a pro-active and flexible attitude;
  • ability to work under pressure;
  • high level of attention to detail.
