Macquarie Asset Management’s (MAM) Financial Control team advise the business and CFO on the structuring of products and transactions as well as business acquisitions and disposals, so as to effectively manage the balance sheet impact and maximize returns for MAM and the Group.
As a Senior Manager within this group, you will use your in-depth technical accounting knowledge and experience from prior roles, to assume a supervisory role of offshore core accounting functions. Ultimately, however, you will have accountability for the overall outcome of the general ledger. You will support the MAM Leaders by acting in an advisory capacity to support decision making for the business, whether that be considering new transactions, working in collaboration with other teams across Macquarie on capital and cost efficient structuring alternatives, or evaluating and documenting changes in IFRS and AASB accounting standards.
You will be a Chartered Accountant who has technical accounting or audit experience either within a Big 4 Chartered Accountancy firm and/or in an Accounting Policy team. You will have prior experience in the application of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards and how these apply to complex situations, and ideally experience within banking and finance. Experience working with team members based offshore will be advantageous.
