The Opportunity

This is arguably one of the best opportunities on the market for a chartered accountant seeking an opportunity to join a blue-chip business in a value-add, strategic group planning & analysis position. Reporting into one of the best senior leadership finance teams in Melbourne, the successful candidate will have a full overview of exciting changes occurring within this multi-billion dollar business. The role has a key focus on planning, forecasting and budgeting at a group level.

The Challenge

You will be responsible for the provision of value-add services to the finance business partnering team and the larger group undertaking various stress testing and scenario analysis to provide accurate financial information for major projects. 

Specifically, your responsibilities will include: 

• Performance against forecast analysis
• Coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process across the group while driving continuous improvements within the function
• Assessing expenditure - OPEX and CAPEX to support project implementation managers
• Identifying performance trends and risk areas while maintaining suitable financial models
• Support with the preparation of information to be shared with the Executive Committee and Board
• Supporting with the effective integration of project impacts into the planning and reporting processes

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong financial modelling experience with excellent Excel skills
• Exposure working in a finance orientated position in a Group FP&A or Commercial team
• Strong budgeting/forecasting skills
• It's likely that you will have began your career within the Big 4 before spending 2-3 years working in the industry
• You may have gained experience working within a transaction services team
