The Company
This 5 partner firm, located on the outskirts of Brisbane's CBD, has a strong staff base reflected in the relaxed and social culture. Although consisting of only 42 employees, this firm is similar to a division of a 2nd Tier firm. Amongst the forefront of accounting firms, this practice has a team of staff in the Philippines, allowing Brisbane employees to spend more time communicating with clients and focusing on Business Advisory. The firm has a wide client base, from building and construction, to a minor specialisation in Primary Production, and everything in between.
The Role
You will work within a large team and report to the manager. You will have a lot of client contact.
Duties:
- Preparation of Income Tax Returns & Financial Statements for all types of entities- including SMSF’s
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Liaising with the ATO on taxation matters
- Research – tax and business advisory
- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
The Individual
A successful candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Business Services
- Bachelor of Accounting or similar
- Completed or close to completing CA or CPA
- Highly motivated individual
- Exceptional organisational abilities
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Team orientated
- Initiative approach to work
