Situated in an easy to reach location on Sydney’s lower North Shore, this exciting management-level role will work alongside the Owner/Director and be charged with the financial management of this successful, privately owned commercial property and rural enterprise business.
  

THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Owner/Director, applicants for this full function accounts role will have wide ranging responsibilities including:
  

• Managing the accounting and financial reporting function, including data processing
• Producing accurate profit & loss, balance sheet, budgets and cash flow forecasts
• Dealing with all financial matters relating to the agricultural business including complex cash flows, accounting for livestock and grain etc as well as budgeting and management
• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Preparation & payment of the BAS, PAYG, Superannuation & payroll tax
• Ensuring legislative compliance and various corporate responsibilities

THE BUSINESS
Founded in the 80s, the business owns and manages 18 large-scale commercial /retail/industrial properties and an extensive farming business run across NSW. The company also directly manages development and refurbishment projects within the portfolio.  The team is boutique in size, all long-standing, highly supportive and mature in their approach. The business has an outstanding reputation in the marketplace.
  

  
REQUIREMENTS

• Holding a pivotal position like this will require demonstrated experience within a similar role, and experience within the property industry is essential (as is an interest in the agricultural division of the business). Your CV will show a track record of stability, strong spreadsheet / Excel capabilities and preferably CPA/CA or similar qualifications. You should also have MYOB software experience.  Knowledge of company secretarial duties is desirable.
