The Opportunity!
Join Australia’s leading Pet Insurer and own our Payroll function! We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team on a part-time basis to manage our fortnightly and monthly payrolls. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for payroll reconciliations and ad hoc reporting.

What you’ll do…
Own the processing of fortnightly and monthly payrolls at PetSure. Key tasks will include:
- All associated preparation and completion tasks for payroll to agreed schedules;
- Management of end to end payroll including collation of information and ensuring information in the system is accurate;
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies;
- Acting as the first point of contact for employees for any payroll-related queries;
- Managing the relationship with the outsourced payroll provider;
- Reconciling monthly Superannuation disbursements;
- Managing the EOFY process;
- Interpreting and applying relevant Awards;
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of statutory obligations;
- Supporting financial month-end processes for payroll transactions and balances; and
- Ad hoc reporting as required
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Qualification through either TAPS or Australian Payroll Association;
- Excellent experience in a similar role, preferably gained in a medium-large sized organisation;
- Experience with Award interpretation;
- Previous experience managing the EOFY payroll process;
- Strong stakeholder management;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Previous experience with payroll systems such as Ascender;
This is a part time role, 3 days per week. We are flexible with days, although we ask that the successful candidate must be available to work on Thursdays in order to finalise payroll!
