About the business and the role
We are an up & coming firm in the Rockingham area. We specialise in providing advice to small to medium size businesses, individuals and self managed superannuation funds. We are a full service firm, offering our clients varying packages, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts and tax planning.
Our purpose is to build healthy long-lasting relationships with our clients, staff and within the local community.
For us, every client is our only client.
We are currently seeking a new team member who compliments our current team!
Job tasks and responsibilities
Working as part of a team, the role is extremely hands on and will involve the preparation of Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements, amongst many other day to day requirements. The role will also involve client contact with face to face appointments for individual tax returns.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant must think outside of the box, be able to learn and grow daily, will be well organised, professional and capable of working independently. Excellent presentation and communication skills, and a strong attention to detail are a must.
You will have a minimum of 2+ years public practice experience and be working towards CPA/CA qualification (if not already attained) or beginning shortly. Previous experience with client contact would be an advantage, but not necessary.
We pride ourselves on being "different" to the everyday traditional accounting firm, therefore having personality and a desire to be a long term member of our team is also a must.
You will ideally have worked with Xero Tax, Financial Statements & Practice Manager before, however it is not essential.
