They believe in reward for effort, the sky’s the limit. Our client is looking for a collaborative and engaging internally focused leader with a background in tax, who possesses exceptional communication skills and has experience in developing and implementing financial systems.
  
Reporting to the Directors, this position is ultimately responsible for;

• Efficiently managing and planning the workflow of a team of accountants and bookkeepers,
• Managing and reviewing the quality of work being produced by the team ensuring it is accurate, compliant and delivered within agreed timeframes,
• Providing leadership, training and mentoring around performance to enable the team to achieve goals and targets in a sustainable way,
• Reporting on team workflow, KPI performance and progress towards targets,
• Problem-solving, prioritising, time and workflow management,
• Proactively driving and communicating change, developing and implementing system and process improvement,
• Keeping abreast of technological advancement through research to assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

• Excellent technical skills and legislative knowledge

• Effective and well developed written and oral communication skills,
• IT savviness with a genuine interest in Xero,
• Experience implementing change through a practice management system (Xero Practice Manager would be a bonus),
• CA/CPA qualifications.
