We’re searching for a Finance Compliance Manager, to be the expert on business controls and working in a SOX compliant environment. This is an exciting time to join Foxtel and will provide exposure to world class projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement compliance management framework across the organisation to comply with SOX including policies, procedures, execution and processes
• Act as subject matter expert in SOX compliance
• Lead annual SOX compliance process including liaising with the business, developing and monitoring remediation of deficiencies and testing of controls.
• Liaise directly with New York team acting as a key point of contact, including working to identify scope areas.
• Manage the group’s quarterly certification and annual operational effectiveness assessment
• Build relationships with all control owners, providing proactive support
• Work with the Foxtel business to support strategic and operations objectives of the business in policy development to comply with the SOX environment
• Ensuring new acquisitions meet the groups compliance requirements
• Educate and train the business on SOX compliance including conducting presentations and supporting materials

   

Experience and capability:

• 12+ years’ experience in Financial Accounting (5+ years in an in-house Financial Accounting role, minimum of 5 years in a Big 4 Chartered role and SOX compliance experience)
• Experience with compliance for a global business that operates under SOX compliance
• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or similar and CA qualification
• Previous experience in the Broadcasting, Telecommunications and/or media industries
• Detailed knowledge of statutory reporting obligations and accounting standards, including both IFRS and US GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley
• Experience using compliance and General Ledger systems and technology (HFM, PeopleSoft)
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
