About The Company
Patriot Environmental Management specialises in environmental management solutions for a range of industries including; mining, oil and gas, tunnelling, drilling, utilities, construction and industrial sectors across Australia.
We offer a range of services from treatment and transport of all liquid waste, industrial services and total waste management for both liquid and solid waste streams.
The Position
- Accurately processing a payroll of approx. 120 staff nationally on a weekly basis
- Setting up payroll arrangements for new employees, terminations, redundancies, long service leave, staff transfers as well as processing changes in employee's details, salary increases etc
- Maintenance of Payroll and Time & Attendance systems
- Handling payroll enquiries
- Providing basic interpretation of relevant Awards and employment instruments which apply to employees
- Administration –updating registers and systems, scanning and digital filing,
- Assist the Commercial & finance department during monthly claims processing as well as an as needed basis to support achievement of various deadlines
- Support the business with additional adhoc duties as required
- This position is a FT position however part time hours may be negotiated for the right candidate (Minimum 30 hours per week required)
The Person
The successful applicant will preferably have:
- Administration experience
- Approximately 2 years’ payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of Modern Awards, PAYG, Payroll tax & Superannuation
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Payroll and Time & Attendance software
- While not essential previous experience with Sage/MitreFinch would be highly desirable
- Able to communicate in a professional, efficient & positive manner
- High level organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle issues with strict confidentiality
You will be a hands on person, who doesn’t mind completing a variety of tasks across all areas of the business.
