Westpoint Autos has been a leading automotive dealership in Brisbane since 1988. Home to Nissan, Hyundai, Honda, Volkswagen, Isuzu UTE, Suzuki, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Fiat and one of the largest dealer used car operations in Brisbane, we have major sites and service centres in Indooroopilly, Moorooka, Darra, Springwood, Taringa, Browns Plains and Toowong.

To further assist our Corporate Administration team we eagerly seek a self-motivated and career oriented Accounting graduate or near graduate to commence a rewarding Dealership Accounting career in the Automotive industry.  This will be an offer of on-going, stable full-time employment working Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role requires the successful candidate to be hands-on and flexible in developing their skills to perform:

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly profit and loss statements
• BAS & FBT returns
• Management accounting reports
• Assisting to prepare financial statements, budgets and forecasts
• Cash flow and inventory management
• Vehicle deal processing and reconciling
• Banking and bank statement processing
• Full function accounts payable and receivable
• General bookkeeping, administration and ad-hoc secretarial duties

Previous exposure working within a professional office environment is essential, coupled with the ability to build a rapport with staff and management at all levels.  Other key attributes required are:

• Completion or near completion of a Bachelor degree majoring in Accounting

• Strong PC literacy and highly developed skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

• Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills

• High attention to detail and commitment to the position

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
