The Trust Accountant will be responsible for the financial control and reporting of approximately 25 trust accounts across all Australian states, and is accountable for ensuring all trust accounts are managed in compliance with the regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities;
The Trust Accountant is a key role within the Finance team in the PSC and helps to ensure that all corporate and client payments are made accurately, within deadlines and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Overseeing maintenance of Trust Bank Accounts
  • Managing trust account transactions daily using Multi Array and JDE
  • Set-up and manage bank account facilities 
  • Maintenance of the Bank Reconciliation Control Sheet – KPI
  • Manage the annual trust account audits, including liaison with auditors, regulators and C&W management
  • Drive compliance, efficiency and productivity through improvements to processes and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal control structures
  • Preparation of financial reports

Key Requirements; 
  • Accounting qualifications and/or previous experience in a finance role
  • 1+ years’ experience in an accountant/trust accountant position 
  • High level of computer skills
  • Understanding of JDE or other ERP/Accounting Applications - preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Independent Problem Solving
  • High Attention to Detail and level of accuracy
