My client is a well-regarded SA company, priding themselves as one of the largest employers in South Australia.
Due to a recent transition, they are wanting to engage an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their close-knit team (total team size of 6). Ideally, this role will suit an Accounts specialist who is a subject matter expert in complex AP environment, as well as proven team leadership experience.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Procurement Services, some of the key responsibilities are:
- Accurate invoice processing responsibility for complex/ key suppler accounts,
- Timely resolution of pricing/ receipting issues and discrepancies, as well as following up queries.
- Review supplier reconciliations as prepared by Accounts Payable Officers and facilitate timely follow-up and resolution of reconciliation issues.
- Administration for corporate cards.
- General ledger account reconciliations.
- Guide day to day tasks of Accounts Payable Officers, especially with regards to assisting to resolve queries around processing.
- Effective liaison with creditors, ensuring clear communications and effective resolution of queries and issues.
To be successful in this position, you are able to demonstrate extensive experience in a high volume, complex corporate organisation. You should be able to clearly articulate your experience in a team-leader role in handling escalated issues and supporting a high-performing team,
It is essential for you to be highly proficient with accounting systems and have intermediate Excel skills. The successful candidate has well-developed organisational skills in managing competing priorities and demonstrate ability to use initiative, exercise judgement and maintain confidentiality.
