The Company
The practice today consists of 4 partners, and 30 staff serving a diverse client base mainly centred in Ipswich and surrounding areas. The firm has a large number of support staff, allowing accountants to focus on the compliance accounting work and building your client’s success.
The Role/Individual
The firm is looking for a senior Business Services accountant, who has an enthusiasm and drive for career progression, while seeing the success and growth of their clients. Cultural fit is extremely important, as the firm works closely and has a positive innovative environment. Your technical knowledge and experience will include PSI, FBT, CGT and Div 7A.
Duties:
- Preparation of Income Tax Returns, BAS’s, IAS’s & Financial Statements for all types of entities (SMSF would be beneficial, however not essential)
- Preparation of PAYGW Variations
- Liaising with the ATO on taxation matters
- Research – tax and business advisory
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders
- Use training and mentoring to improve Business Advisory skills: forecasts, budgets, management reports and analysing and interpreting information
Skills & Experience
The following requirements are necessary in order to be considered:
- 7+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Preference to have completed the CA/CPA program
- Previous experience using MYOB AE advantageous
