The Organisation:
Large Government entity responsible for a wide range of policy and service delivery programs Nationally and Internationally.
The Opportunity:
This is a chance to join a Department offering a diverse range of work in a fast moving environment. This is a 6 month contract initially, with the opportunity to extend for a further 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity to transition or transfer into a highly respected Department.
The Role:
This is a varied role where you will apply your competence in providing similar services to this exciting role. As a Treasury Officer, you will be performing a range of functions including:
- Assisting with the preparation of the daily cash position statement, including reconciliation of expected inflows and outflows.
- Accurately receipting all monies received.
- Monitoring declined payments.
- Actioning emails and responding to client queries over the phone and maintaining client relationships.
- Record keeping and maintaining an up-to-date billing system
- Assisting with month-end closing
- Assisting with cash management and draw-downs
The Person:
You will be a professional Finance Officer moving toward Qualifications and with demonstrated experience in all aspects of accounts receivable / treasury functions. You are well regarded for your communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team. You love the idea of taking this opportunity to work in one of the most exciting Government Departments.
- Demonstrated understanding of Commonwealth Government accounting processes and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated liaison and interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to details and good reconciliation skills.
- Experience with SAP/FinanceOne is highly desirable.
You must be an Australian citizen to apply for this role and you must hold minimum Baseline security clearance, or have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
The Salary:
$35 - $45/ph + super
