Charter Keck Cramer is a Strategic Property Advisory Firm, employing 180 staff across its Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Singapore offices. The firm provides a wide range of property services across Advisory, Research, Valuations, Projects and Capital.
Position Overview
Charter has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Senior Accountant to join its Finance team.
The role will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of accounting tasks to support the financial management of the firm.
Core Responsibilities:
- Financial accounting and reporting including preparation of financial year end statements, reconciliations and journals
- Coordination of month end processes including assistance with the preparation of management reports
- Assisting with the development of annual budgets and forecasts including ongoing analysis
- Liaising with external payroll provider and prepare and post associated journals
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies and identify risks
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to reflect best practice
Position Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or business administration
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations
- 5+ years’ experience in full cycle transaction accounting
- Detailed knowledge and proven ability to accurately apply accounting standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Champion of continuous improvement
- Concern for quality
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage expectations
- Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Previous experience in a professional services environment would be advantageous
