Fantastic opportunity to gain exposure in State Government. We are ideally looking for previous accounts payable and categorising experience.
Your specific duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Receiving and administrating incoming invoices in respect of purchases made from suppliers
- Matching and filing invoices
- Entering transactions into the accounting system
- Arranging payments through cheque runs
- Receiving incoming supplier’s statements and reconciling to the purchase ledger
- Allocating items of expenditure to cost centres for analysing purposes
- Assisting in month end reporting
- Other ad hoc duties required
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum 2 years working in a high-volume Accounts Payable department
- Advanced SAP skills and experience
- Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively
- Customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow through
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to take ownership
