My client are an innovative, high growth business within the I.T industry. They are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to help guide the business financially and strategically. 

Key Responsibilities

 - Provide the CEO with financial management and risk management advice.
 - Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including the profit & loss and balance sheet, financial forecast, budget and cash flow statements.
 - Maintain an accurate financial record-keeping system to ensure compliance with the applicable authorities.  
 - Preparation of the end-of-year financial reporting and manage internal and external audit processes.
 - Oversee all accounts payable and receivable processing, monitor expenditure against budget 
 - Oversee the raising of invoices and follow-up debtors when required.
 - Ensure timely and accurate documentation is submitted to the Australian Taxation Office, including Business Activity Statements, Income Tax Returns and variations to company details as required.  
 - Manage the duties of the Accounts Officer.

Criteria

 -  Experienced hands-on CPA/CA
 - Proficiency in the use and management of MYOB accounting software
 - Experience and knowledge of the Victorian Auditor General's Office external audit process.
 - Ability to prepare accurate and timely (monthly) financial reports and monitor cash-flow and investments
 - High-level analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to analyse and present data
 - Impeccable organisational skills, with the ability to develop, maintain and improve processes to support the efficiency of the organisation and manage accounts staff
 - Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to people within and outside the organisation
