About the opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for accounting for purchases and creditors of all crude and product imports into Australia and the wholesale/supply of finished product purchased in Australia. You will also own the treasury cash forecasting and FX forecasting and reporting.

Key accountabilities

  • Intercompany reconciliation of the integrated Supply and Trading including working capital adjustments
  • Complete all period end close (PEC) requirements to ensure both the P&L and Balance Sheet for Refinery and Supply purchases are accurate.
  • Investigate unexpected results and raise accounting adjustments for material variances
  • Complete all internal and external reporting including ACCC, Bree and ABS
  • Own the Purchases and Creditors model and provide accurate reporting to Performance teams
  • Provide advice to Midstream business channel with regards to the transacting of purchases
  • Organise for the accurate and timely entry of invoice entry into SAP

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a financial reporting role in a large corporate.

Other key attributes of the role include:

  • Commercial acumen, strong judgment and decision making skills
  • High level of analytical skills and strength in attention to detail
  • Strong communication, relationship building and networking skills
  • Experience using SAP and strong Excel ability.
  • Degree level qualification in accounting/business and CPA or CA qualified or studying towards
  • Demonstrate business and financial understanding and apply business rigour and judgement to the purchase transactions
