What this job involves:
Providing oversight of the accounting function, you will be responsible for the accuracy of monthly accruals, quarterly forecasting and annual budget preparation. This includes taking ownership of the outgoings, extended trade and percentage rent calculations.
Your knowledge of the property industry and strong analytical skills will assist you to provide guidance and recommendations to the Property Manager and Property Investment Manager to drive better outcomes.
As a Portfolio Accountant, your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of client reporting;
- Process and prepare monthly cash, accrual, budgets and forecasts reports;
- Ensure completion of month end financial reporting for all properties within your portfolio;
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets ;
- Maintain all property and lease information on in-house database;
- Ensure high quality services are provided to both external and internal clients ;

You will have the ability to critically analyse and examine tenancy schedules for new lease, CPI reviews, market reviews and standard rent reviews for the property to ensure accuracy.
Degree qualified, you may have some demonstrated commercial accounting experience or you might be ready to launch your career in property accounting.
Exposure to MRI would be highly regarded.
Finally yet importantly, you are a great communicator and your skills will enable you to liaise with all relevant stakeholders including clients, property managers, leasing executives and senior management.
