We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Commercial Specialist to join
our Power team in Mount Isa for a 12 month fixed term FIFO opportunity on a 10/5 roster. 

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in providing commercial services support to the business operations. On a day to day basis, your responsibilities will include:

• Producing the day to day business and contractual requirements such as plant dispatch supply, fuel nominations, customer demand forecasts, metering, customer billing, and or electricity market bidding interfaces as relevant for each of the assigned assets
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget including forecasting revenue, opex and capex for all assets
• Monthly reporting and transactional processing of all financial and contract KPIs and metrics related to each asset
• Providing system and process training to the business and assist in the education of the use commercial guidelines, systems and tools.

To excel in this position you will have the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance or similar field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial role
• Working experience within the Power, gas or mining industry
• An ability to build strong stakeholder relationships both internally to the business and with customers
• Strong ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
