Link Fund Solutions (LFS) is a specialist provider of outsourced middle and back office administration, fund accounting services and custodial services to a range of clients.
Purpose of the role:
This role entails providing Fund Accounting support to Link Fund Solutions boutique fund managers. The Account Manager will report directly into the Fund Accounting Managers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Daily - Oversight & review of daily deliverables
- Review of distributable income calculations and BAS for managed investment funds
- Review of general and special purpose accounts for retail and wholesale managed investment funds, answering audit queries, putting through changes to ensure timely delivery of statutory accounts using Onesource accounts preparation software
- Emphasis on Client Relationship Management
- Transition Management / client onboarding
- Problem solving, implementing practical solutions
- Ongoing monitoring and improvement of risk and compliance controls
- Various project involvement including control enhancements.
- Meet prospective clients to promote business
- Staff Performance management – completion of formal review, KPI setting meeting with staff to ensure on track
- Training, mentoring and providing feedback to staff

Successful candidate:
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years’ previous experience within the Fund accounting environment preferably with a custodian, administrator or fund manager. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in staff management including performance management, recruitment, induction, setting KPIs, assigning tasks.
Essential Qualities:
- 5-7 years previous experience in a similar senior/supervisor fund accounting role
- All round grasp of accounting standards / tax affecting managed fund industry and be able to use previous industry experience to trouble shoot / solve problems
- Ability to demonstrate hands own knowledge & problem solving skills
- Able to implement a project from start to finish e.g. software upgrade / new process roll out
- experience in staff management including performance management, recruitment, induction, setting KPIs, assigning tasks etc
- Experience in researching and analysing ad-hoc issues, legislative requirements and changes, update policy documents, checklists, templates, and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills – liaison with clients, external service providers and other departments
- Able to assist with business development – attend meetings / set up a new client relationship
- Highly motivated, the ability to use own initiative, ability to multi-task
- High attention to detail
- Quick learner
- Willing to be hands on as well as review the work of more junior staff
- Ability to mentor and motivate staff members
- Eager to take full responsibility for tasks assigned
- CA/CPA qualified
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Xero accounting software is desirable
