The Opportunity - Join Climax Business Strategies as a Bookkeeper

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and energetic bookkeeper to further their career by making this role their own. You will work with our friendly team and assist our clients with their ongoing bookkeeping needs. You need to be a confident self-starter with a passion for technology.

To suit this role it's mandatory that you are looking for a long-term opportunity in a supportive environment that encourages your continual personal and professional development. We are a very successful and modern accounting firm looking to expand our bookkeeping services to our clients and the general public.

We are looking for someone with an eye for detail and also with a friendly personality to interact with our clients. If you think you fit the criteria below, we'd love to have a chat to discuss if the role is a good fit for both of us. A progressive and supportive working environment awaits the successful candidate.

Minimum skills and experience

  • Formal bookkeeping qualifications (at least Cert IV or higher)
  • Energetic, friendly and honest approach to all things
  • A sense of humour (accounting can be dull but we don't have to be)
  • Advanced professional writing skills with proper grammar
  • Excellent general computer skills and willing adopter of new technologies
  • Experience with Xero and MYOB
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • At least 3 years experience dealing directly with business clients
  • Experience preparing Business Activity Statements
  • Experience with the payroll function for small businesses
