Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has become available for a new manager to join this high profile team. Will consider 1st movers from Big 4 at Manager level. FS experience NOT essential.
Our client has undergone some recent changes and have promoted from within. As such, a vacancy has become available for a Manager to join this collaborative, supportive and high profile group finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of the Balance Sheet through coordinating and overseeing Balance Sheet Reviews
- Conduct quarterly balance sheet reviews on specific general ledger accounts to ensure appropriate accounting treatment (IFRS)
- Preparation and review of financial statements for the Group and explanatory notes
- Ensure accurate reporting and adequate internal controls are in place
- Preparation of consolidation journals requiring detailed understanding structures and consolidation requirements
- Perform monthly sign-off on financial results and positions
- Lead projects for the entity on issues which relate to Financial Control
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Provide accounting/reporting advice with respect to M&A deals, new products, portfolio sales and entity reorganisations
- Review and consolidation of sub division cash flows
- Ongoing review of procedures and processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies
- Facilitate process changes and ensure appropriate controls are enforced to manage risks
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with: Performance management team, BU Finance leads, Group Tax
Essential Criteria:
- Degree qualifications, complimented with CA/CPA qualifications
- Minimum 3 years PQE
- Big 4 Audit or Chartered Business Services experience highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Advanced user of Excel
- Experience in banking/financial services is highly regarded
- Collaborative work style
- Post-qualified experience in Financial Accounting (Group or BU level is highly regarded)
- Will also consider first movers from Big 4 – Assistant Manager/Manager level
