About the role
The position involves a combination of both business services (tax and accounting) and audit. The role is suited to an Intermediate level Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and grow your career and extend on your audit capability.

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Regular contact with clients to resolve accounting and tax reconciliation issues.
• Prepare supporting work papers using our MYOB AE e-work paper system.
• We will provide training with respect to the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for superannuation funds using SuperMate software.

  
To be successful for this role you must have the following:

• A Degree in Accounting
• A minimum of three years public practice experience in Australia involving a mix of audit and the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, self-managed superannuation funds and companies as well as the preparation of fringe benefits tax returns and business activity statements.
• You will also be required to draft basic taxation advice for clients as required.
• Auditing experience over the last three years is desirable.
• Exposure to the preparation of general purpose and special purpose financial statements for large proprietary companies and unlisted public companies would be an advantage. 
• Good computer skills essential. 
• Employees seeking membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA preferred.
• The ideal candidate must have strong writing and speaking skills and have the enthusiasm and energy and initiative to work collaboratively with team members.
