Financial accountant for a FINTECH organization- 6 Month Contract

The role
Due to sustained growth and operational expansion we have an excellent opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join one of Australia's fast paced FINTECH organizations. This role is newly created and will have exposure to some of the most senior stakeholders in the business giving you an excellent opportunity to learn and progress quickly through the organization. The business offers an excellent working environment, very competitive remuneration and good work like balance.
Candidate responsibilities
- Ensuring integrity and completeness of financial records including transaction processing, reconciliations, monthly reporting and operation of accounting processes and policies
- Preparation of yearly and half-yearly accounts, including liaising with internal stakeholders on reporting packages, with external auditors, ensuring adherence to all timetables
- Preparation, review and delivery of other relevant management reporting
- Maintenance of tax records and liaison with tax advisers
- Preparation of GST returns
- Other Ad-hoc tasks as provided
Candidate Profile
- CA/CPA qualified
- Minimum 3-5 years working as a financial accountant within either a Financial Services or Technology business.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with internal stakeholders from all different departments
- A solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Very good Excel skills
