We are a well established Chartered Accounting firm located in Melbourne's CBD. We are looking for a Tax & Business Services Intermediate to join our growing and vibrant team.

You will work alongside a young and energetic team who are committed to helping you develop through on-the-job training, coaching and other learning opportunities.

Position Description

• Data processing to facilitate the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for a range of entities including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships, Individuals and Self Managed Super Funds
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
• Monthly bookkeeping and management accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office and other external agencies on a range of matters 
• Support the accounting team members with ad hoc requirements

  Ideal Candidate

• 3 - 5 years experience in tax/business services.
• Excellent academic results with a degree in Accounting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CA qualified or progression to CA
• Self motivated and confident
• Proactively able to manage work flow and budget
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
• Possess a willingness to learn in an ever changing professional environment
• Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: Handisoft, MYOB, Quicken, Saasu or Xero
• A customer focussed individual, previous experience in the service industry would be highly regarded
