Financial Accountant

The opportunity has arisen to step into a dynamic and thought-provoking financial accounting role in one of Australia’s largest, rapidly expanding not-for-profit organisations, located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Supporting the senior finance manager, you will play a vital role in various ongoing key projects, and in maintaining the integrity and transparency of financial data to support senior finance. The ideal candidate will be qualified (CA/CPA) with a solid background in financial accounting, a positive attitude to work and looking to join a large organisation with opportunities for growth and development in the long term.

Role Responsibilities:

The role will include, but not limited to:

• Month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Key player in regulatory change projects
• Group consolidations
• Involvement with the finance projects
• Tax accounting
• Preparation of statutory financial reports
• Involvement with the finance projects function to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaising with the external audit team

About You:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident in working alongside senior level stakeholders
• A ‘can-do’ attitude to work
