The Opportunity:
Our Finance team is looking for an experienced Finanace Assistant to join their Brisbane team in a full time permanent position.

Main responsibilities:
Operations Processing
Maintain extensive knowledge of functions within Finance Operations including:
- Cheque processing
- Petty cash
- Audit Letter Management
Operations Support
Second tier support for lawyers and secretaries including:
- Billing
- Client and matter management
- Time and costs management
- Working with colleagues interstate via team work queues.
Matter, Client and Rate Management
- Rates and discount management (pricing)
- Review new matters as part of the firms Quality Assurance process.
- Maintain client and matter database as required
Trust & Controlled Monies Management
- Gain and maintain sound knowledge of Trust regulations
- Ensure Ashurst Australia Trust policy is adhered to at all times, regardless of situation
- Provide support to Trust Administrator on all aspects of Trust and Controlled Monies processing and issues
- Knowledge of ANZ Transactive online portal
Transaction Processing
- Ad hoc requirement to process of EFT & cheque payments which are deposited into the General Account
- Liaise with Credit Control in relation to possible refunds which might arise due EFT payments
Essential skills and experience:
Technical
- TAFE Certificate/Diploma in Accounting is an advantage
- Legal exposure is an advantage
- Experience with high volume transactional processing essential
- Trust exposure is an advantage
- Elite 3e knowledge
- System testing experience
- E-billing experience is an advantage
