A great opportunity to join an international legal firm in the CBD. This role is responsible for leading specific projects and tasks and assisting with the general operation of the finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Ad-hoc reporting to assist the business in reviewing performance and trend analysis including weekly and monthly reporting
• Ad-hoc projects and deep-dives as identified by the business
• Ongoing review of general GST compliance including preparation of monthly BAS
• Involvement in annual budget process and regular forecasting
• Manage the annual tax reviews including preparation of workpapers (Income Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax)
• Assistance with pipeline management, collections and review of aged items
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Additional support for finance team including cover when other team members are on leave or based on capacity; such as payroll processing, review of expense claims, review of petty cash reconciliations and other items which may be identified
• Identification of process improvements

Requirements:

• A minimum of four years’ experience in accounting, professional services experience preferred but not required
• Experience with Elite software highly regarded
• CPA or CA qualification
• Advanced Excel skills
• An ability to work effectively both independently and part of a team
• Effectiveness in prioritising
• Effective time management and the ability to drive projects through to completion within agreed time frames
