The dedicated Finance Team at PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport is currently looking for an experienced and passionate Hotel Accountant to join our friendly team on a Full-Time, 9-Month Maternity Leave Contract.
The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, be a fantastic communicator, and be a natural team player who has the ability to multitask and maintain a high level of attention to detail under pressure.
The Role:
- Report to the Director of Finance
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements by setting appropriate internal controls and procedures
- Prepare all budgets and forecasts covering all activities of the company with other Department Heads
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all financial and other management reports of the company
- Continually monitor the audit of all accounts, records and transactions of the company
- Recommend and implement improvements in accounting procedures and internal control
Ideally you will have:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting (necessary)
- CPA qualification (desirable)
- Previous Hospitality Accounting experience (desirable)
- Proficiency in effective oral and written communication
- Competent in PC accounting software, including SAP
- Great management and problem solving skills
- Natural leadership qualities and high sense of integrity
