As a Senior Business Analyst you will work closely with Senior Management and other stakeholders as the Finance Business Partner for a business unit(s). To provide meaningful and timely business performance information and advice to the business encompassing both financial and non-financial metrics. This is a 6 month fixed term contract, however, there is potential for it to extend or go permanent.
In this role you will:
- Engaging with the business to build operational knowledge and understanding of issues, opportunities and their implications for ongoing performance, business plans, budgets and long term forecasts.
- Identifying trends in key business drivers, understanding the reasons and business consequences and recommended corrective actions.
- Focus on initiatives that improve the profitability of the business through increase revenue, efficiency in operational costs or right sizing support functions to ensure the business is profitable and scalable
- Lead and manage the preparation of a robust business plan and annual budget that links to the Corporate Strategy for the business
- Prepare quarterly business plan status reports and coordinate bi annual deep dive business performance reviews for presentation to Group Executive Committee
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience (in excess of five years) driving improved business performance including business planning
- Demonstrated experience driving profitability improvement and/or business turnaround initiatives
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a business leadership team providing financial advice and leadership
- Highly developed commercial acumen and demonstrated experience in interpreting and analysing business requirements
- Oracle experience highly desired
- Tertiary level qualifications at degree level or higher in a finance discipline preferably combined with recognition as a professional accountant (i.e. Chartered Accountant (CA) or a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA))
