Your Opportunity
As the Payroll Specialist, you will be our go-to person for all payroll queries and will be responsible for the the end-to-end payroll processing for 3 companies!
You will also be instrumental in streamlining the recent integration of Kronos, ADP and Workday whilst being responsible for administering annual remuneration reviews and incentive plans locally, and be empowered to make process improvements.
As the ABG Payroll expert, you will be required to:
- Run the weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll for 1500+ employees
- Keep up-to-date with all legislation pertaining to payroll including awards, minimum wage, superannuation to ensure payroll remains compliant
- Calculate and process termination payments, redundancy and salary packaging
- Answer queries, provide training and advice to managers and employees regarding all payroll matters
- Produce end-of-month payroll reporting including GL reconciliation and customised report writing as required
- Manage legislative and statutory requirements including the lodgement of payroll tax and workers compensation payments
- Maintain payroll employee records including processing of new hires, change requests and terminations
Role Requirements
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Significant hands-on experience in high volume payroll environments
- Strong ability to interpret awards, agreements and understanding current legislation and obligations
- Be competent in work autonomously across many different work groups in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service, attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to write reports and manipulate data
- Excellent relationship building skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Workday (HRIS)
- Working knowledge of Kronos and/or ADP
