Your New Position
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Accountant position forms part of the Soul Origin Support Centre and will support daily finance and payroll operations for company owned stores in addition to overseeing accounts payable processes and maintaining reconciliations and reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Month end accounts preparation and analysis
- Entering invoices (approx. 100 per week)
- Overseeing and ongoing support of the accounts payable function
- Credit card and cash reconciliation
- Liaising with store managers and suppliers
- Weekly payroll for up to 40 employees
- General ledger reconciliation
- BAS preparation
- Ah-doc assistance and administration for other functions within the finance team, as required
What You’ll Need to Succeed
You’ll take a pragmatic and analytical approach to problem solving, and enjoy being part of a supportive, high performing team in addition to having:
- Between 4 and 5 years’ experience within accounts, a minimum of 1 year as an Assistant Accountant
- A minimum of a degree qualification within accounting
- Excellent data entry skills focusing on speed and attention to detail
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work well within a team, possessing a can-do attitude towards work
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise
- MYOB Advanced, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite experience will be highly regarded
