About the company
Join a large business services team within a 70 staff accounting firm. The firm specialises in business services, audit and insolvency and has won many awards in the past five years for outstanding client service as well as ‘accountant of the year’ awards.
About the role
You will join the 40 staff business services team as a senior accountant. The role involves mentoring junior accountants and it reports to one of the Partners in the team. You will attend regular client meetings and be exposed to clients up to $300 million annual turnover. This is an entry level senior accountant role with the view to promotion to Manager within two years.
Duties include but are not limited to
- Preparation and review tax returns, BAS, FBT and financial statements for SMEs and larger private companies;
- Providing tax advice;
- Build relationships with existing clients and sit in on meetings with the partners;
- Manage and mentor graduate accountants; and
- Deliver an exceptional level of service to new and existing clients.
Skills required for the role
- Relevant degree and CA or CPA qualification;
- Minimum three years’ experience business services;
- Excellent level of technical knowledge and the willingness to continue learning; and
- The ability to effectively and confidently communicate with both clients and key stakeholders.
