The company:

We are a well-established, high-end organisation in the wine industry, with a global footprint, and we are experiencing year-on-year growth.

We’re looking for an organised, committed and proactive person to join our small team on a 3-month maternity leave contract. With at least 5 years in financial accounts in Australia, you will report to both the Office Manager and Managing Director.

You will be expected to have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be working closely with our external accountant and Austrian Head Office to ensure requirements are being met across the company. You should have a solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and significant experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll as well as strong reporting and excel skills. Knowledge of Xero, Varial and Cognos reporting software is required.

This is an opportunity to use your experience in a dynamic, fast-growing business. This maternity leave contract is available part-time, approximately 25-30 per week with flexible hours to be negotiated for the right applicant, (eg. school hours over 5 days per week.).

Your role:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales and financial reports via the reporting tool - Cognos
  • Create and formatting reports in excel
  • Update and maintain commission reports
  • Maintaining accounts for both RSN Australia and RSN New Zealand
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable functions
  • General ledger, P&L, month-end procedures and reporting
  • Preparation of quarterly BAS statements
  • Business analysis & forecasting
  • Check and reconcile accounts, bank statements, and credit cards
  • Payment of accounts, cash payments, banking and receipts
  • Payroll and superannuation
  • Liaise regularly with the company external accountants
  • Provide administrative support to the Managing Director as required
  • Other reasonable ad hoc duties as required. 
Other skills/Experience/Attributes:
  • 5+ years in financial accounts in Australia
  • Good understanding of multi-currency transactions
  • Knowledge of Xero, Varial and Cognos reporting software is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to organise and prioritise; Applying a sense of urgency to all tasks; Ability to manage several projects & tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respective Key Performance Indicators;
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Proactive and goal focused attitude
  • Ability to work methodically and multi-task
  • Positive and enthusiastic personality; Excellent personal presentation
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
