Our Client

Our client is an industry leader in providing unique landscape solutions to commercial, construction and government projects. With a specialised fleet they deliver a range of soils, mulch and aggregates cleanly and efficiently throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.

A unique opportunity has arisen for a bright and energetic Bookkeeper/Administrator to join their team based in Bayswater.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records along with assisting with payroll where required. In addition, your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of accounts payable/receivable
  • Management of cash flow and reporting of accounts/financial statements
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly reports to be presented at finance meetings
  • Payroll (assisting in accordance with Superannuation, Employment Awards, PAYG, ATO, Fair Work Australia)
  • Management and reconciliations including staff ledgers
  • Assisting with job costings and analysis processes
  • Liaising with company accountants
  • All other administrative duties including record keeping, data entry, employee records and filing.

Skills and Experience

We are seeking a talented individual with the following skills and experience:

  • Qualifications in Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • Proven experience in accounting software (preferably Reckon Accounts & Payroll)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to deal professionally and effectively with all staff and clients
  • Proficient with Excel spreadsheets (intermediate/advanced level)
  • Competent in all aspects of bookkeeping
  • Ability to work automously and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, adaptable and diligent with a positive and friendly attitude.

Offer

This is a temp to perm opportunity on a part-time basis (30 hours). Offering a generous hourly rate based on skills and experience this dynamic company offers training and support with a dedicated team.
