The Client
Seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to join a large and dynamic business that features prominently in the Australian market. This progressive company has a reputation for being customer centric and a pioneer within its field. This business is at the forefront of a fast paced and highly competitive industry.
The Role
Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has become available for a technically solid and commercially astute Financial Accounting team Manager. The core function of this role is to lead a small high performing team of Financial Accountants and to ensure clarity of information and integrity is delivered to expectations.
You will have a direct line reporting to senior Finance Leadership, and impact directly the finance team’s performance and perception within the APAC region, of this global leader.
Some of the key tasks aligned to this role will include:
- Manage and mentor a small team of qualified Accountants
- Lead the review and delivery of monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet to strict deadlines
- Review policies and procedures to maintain robust practices and support external Audit process
- Complete accurate tax reporting requirements and liaise with ATO where required
The Successful applicant
- Will hold a professional Accounting qualification, having preferably started your career within a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm where you have gained technical accounting skills and a sound knowledge of accounting standards
- Will have a knowledge of Transfer Pricing Calculations and Advanced Pricing Agreements
- Exposure to corporate accounting laws and changes in standards
- Will operate with a continuous improvement mentality to tasks
- Is a proven leader with a successful track record or attitude to staff management
- Has a ‘hands on’ work ethos and is comfortable working in the detail.
- Is a career minded individual who can effectively influence non finance stakeholders
