Prime Partners is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our talented team of accountants. You will be responsible for providing tax planning and business advice, preparing tax returns and financial statements, and advising on other tax compliance requirements.
This role is flexible as to hours and location. It could be 25 hours per week or up to full-time, as suits the successful candidate. The hours could be school hours five days per week, or 9am-5pm over three days, but equally the role may suit someone seeking full-time work now or in the near future. The accountants are assisted on the client side by our high-performing Client Services Managers.
Specifically, this role is responsible for:
- Conducting client meetings and provide accounting, taxation and compliance advice
- Preparing Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Preparing Financial Statements, including Depreciation Schedules
- Preparing Income Tax Returns
- Preparing CGT calculations and provide advice to clients
- Preparing FBT calculations and provide salary packaging reviews to clients
- Providing general accounting and taxation advice to clients
The successful candidate will have:
- At least five years’ experience in an accounting role, with at least three years in public practice
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Some experience supervising junior accountants desirable, but not essential
He or she will also be:
- Client-focused and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a friendly team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organised and able to multi-task
The full-time equivalent salary range is $80k-$105k depending on experience, pro rated to the part-time hours.
