About the role

  • Permanent, full time position, an immediate start is available
  • Building relationships and directly working with your portfolio of clients
  • Thought leadership and mentoring of junior accountants

Key responsibilities

  • Provide a business and financial advisory service to clients
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, income tax returns and schedules, BAS & IAS returns
  • Researching and preparation analysis of client performance for end of year tax planning
  • Peer review of compliance work of direct reports
  • Management of own workflow and time management

Skills and experience

  • Senior experience with at least 6+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Comprehensive tax and accounting experience
  • Experience working in a professional services role, an advantage
  • Completed/close to completion- CA/CPA/IPA
  • Experience in MYOB AE & Xero, Office 365
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Being positive about your ability to succeed
  • Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member cooperatively or independently, demonstrating a positive, "can-do" attitude with a team focus
  • Ability to lead discussions and negotiate outcomes
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills; reflecting a strong customer service approach
  • Demonstrated aptitude for self-direction and motivation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure, to organise priorities and to meet deadlines
