The Position:

 

The successful candidate will report to the General Manager, Roche Diagnostics Australia and be a member of the Leadership Team. You will be responsible for working with the Business Area Managers to help deliver sound financial results as well as financial legal compliance for the company and you will lead the operational aspects of the company through efficient management of the supply chain functions. 

 

More specifically, your role will include the following responsibilities:

  • To ensure the efficient utilisation of the Company's financial resources by providing competent commercial counsel and implementation of commercial and financial strategies to achieve the corporate objectives of profitable growth, whilst administering the accounting systems policies and procedures in line with Corporate guidelines and local statutory provisions to ensure RDA’s financial statements reflect a true and fair view of its operations.
  • Responsible for managing a compliant and cost efficient supply chain through policy setting and implementation covering demand planning, procurement, warehousing, customer order management through to deliveries to end-customers.
  • Responsible for managing an end-to-end commercial contracts process to identify any potential opportunities and also to ensure that commercial risks are mitigated.
  • Implementation of the indirect procurement process in line with Global Procurement Policies to ensure compliance and value creation.
  • Responsible for ensuring that RDA’s facilities are compliant with the local regulations as well as Global Safety Health & Environment directives.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Previous Managerial experience
  • Professional Accounting qualification or a Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Studies with majors in Accounting or Finance with sub majors in Marketing and Supply chain Management
  • A full member of a recognized professional accounting body (CPA Australia / CA ANZ)
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a highly disciplined accounting environment with supervisory responsibility. Up to 5 years of such exposure should have been focused in a commercial, financial and management accounting role within a competitive sales and marketing organisation
  • A strong, commercial acumen together with proven track record in Supply Chain Management preferably involving cold chain management
  • A working understanding of corporations law, tax law and treasury management
  • Experience in dealing with External Auditors.
  • Planning, Forecasting, Management and Statutory reporting inclusive of cash flow, investment appraisals including their preparation, review and presentations to Management
