A central government department is looking for an experienced business finance manager
Your new company
This large Federal Government department assists in the development of the community and ensure the well being of the population. Whilst working within this department you we be able to see the change that you are contributing to through the work you provide.
Your new role
The role will focus on month end reporting for a division and be the “go to” person for financial related advice.You will also be responsible for:
- Consolidation and preparation of financial statements
- EOM and EOFY Monitor and co-ordinate the EOFY Audit Management of the corporate financial operations Review of balance sheets
- Monitoring and maintain of the general ledger
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an experienced finance manager with strong communication skills and leadership ability to step up to the plate and add value in this role. Previous experience supporting at group or divisional level is mandatory.
To be eligible for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and have a strong understanding of the principals and requirements of the APS.
What you'll get in return
This role will be offered as an APS6 contract for a minimum 3 months. There will possibly be an extension but this will depend on performance and agency requirements moving forward.
