Organisation

Our client is a not for profit organisation providing support to the community and in particular focusing on those who are culturally and linguistically diverse.

Role

Responsible for the preparation of a fortnightly payroll for staff. You will provide information to staff and external agencies(eg: Centrelink) as required. This role is also responsible for all aspects of the preparation of pay slips, banking of salaries, reconciliation and payment of taxes, union fees and superannuation, payment of appropriate deductions, etc. You will also Manage and oversee lodgement of PAYG taxes ona monthly basis as well as much more. You will be working as part of a small team and assist senior management with reporting and budgeting.

Qualifications

In order to be considered for these roles you will require;

• Certificate or Diploma level in Payroll, Accounting or Finance or other relevant qualification and experience
• Demonstrated Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger experience in a similar role

• Excellent attention to detail and numerical literacy
• Well developed customer service and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively as part of a team
• Well developed computer skills, especially in relation to Microsoft Excel and a payroll system
• Knowledge of relevant payroll and superannuation statutory requirements and legislation.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and good time management skills, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience of ATTACHE would be desirable.
