ALARA Qld Limited is a not for profit, community based organisation that provides a broad range of innovative and responsive services for people with a disability and their families. They provide services in the Ipswich, Somerset and Lockyer regions of Queensland.
Due to the recent retirement of their long serving Finance Manager ALARA is now seeking a committed finance professional who will take responsibility for:
- Preparation of financial reports and interpretation of financial information to the Board and management;
- Undertaking the annual budget preparation;
- Analysis of costs, pricing, sales results and comparison of actual to budget;
- Monitoring financial trends;
- Cost minimisation strategies;
- Implementation of new initiatives and strategic directions in relation to finance;
- Liaising with external stakeholders such as auditors / government bodies in relation to funding allocation; and
- Leading, training and mentoring a small dedicated finance and admin team.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced financial leader (CA / CPA qualification essential) with demonstrated skills within a significant multi-faceted organisation. You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment and possess highly developed interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. It is strongly preferred that you can demonstrate strong knowledge of current funding mechanisms, accountability and reporting requirements in a similar organisation and enjoy a broad role encompassing more than just finance!
